Who we are
This website, evacropolisapartments.gr, is run by Evgenia and Victor, the hosts of EV Acropolis Apartments, Misaraliotou 1, 117 42 Athens, Greece. We are responsible for the personal data collected through this website. You can reach us at ev.acropolis.apartments@gmail.com.
What data we collect and why
Contact form and email
When you send us a message through the contact form or by email, we receive the details you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, travel dates, number of guests and your message. We use this only to answer your question and, if you wish, to help arrange your stay. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a possible booking and our legitimate interest in replying to enquiries.
Bookings through Booking.com and Airbnb
We do not take bookings or payments on this website. When you click through to Booking.com or Airbnb, those platforms process your data under their own privacy policies. When you book, we receive the reservation details the platform shares with us, which we use to host your stay and to meet our legal obligations, such as guest registration and tax rules in Greece.
Website visits
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit in server logs, to keep the site secure and working. We do not use advertising or analytics tracking.
Cookies
This website uses only cookies that are needed for it to function, for example to remember preferences or to keep logged-in administrators signed in. We do not use marketing cookies.
Third-party content
Some pages load content from other services, which may receive your IP address when the page loads:
- Google Fonts and Google Maps (Google Ireland Ltd.), for typography and the map on our contact page
- Cloudflare cdnjs, for loading website scripts
- Links to Booking.com and Airbnb, which only share data with those platforms if you click them
How long we keep your data
We keep enquiries for as long as needed to respond and for up to 12 months afterwards, unless they lead to a booking. Booking-related records are kept for as long as Greek law requires.
Who we share data with
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with service providers needed to run this website and our email (such as our hosting provider and Google), with booking platforms where you have booked through them, and with authorities where the law requires it. Some of these providers may process data outside the EU under appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To use these rights, email us at ev.acropolis.apartments@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
